Swaziland Sugar Association Celebrates 40 years of existance

Member countries and staff of the International Sugar Organisation congratulate the Swaziland Sugar Association on its achievements attained over the decade. The developments the industry has taken over the last decades show what can be achieved when dedicated growers and millers join forces to develop a competitive and efficient industry.  Swaziland is one of the most efficient sugar producers in the world and is very much envied by others for this excellent performance. 

This is also an occasion to express our gratitude for the long-standing, fruitful and constructive cooperation we in the ISO have with the Swaziland sugar industry.  Over the many years of its membership in the International Sugar Agreement Swaziland was always one of the staunchest supporters of this form of international cooperation, bringing together representatives from all continents with a view to working towards a harmonious, sustainable and successful world sugar economy.  This is particularly important in times when the world sugar economy is undergoing deep-rooted structural and political change, just to mention globalisation, liberalisation and privatisation with their social and economic consequences.

Wishing all the members of the Swaziland Sugar Association a prosperous future.
