The Swaziland Sugar Association (SSA) is committed to consistently meet the requirements and expectations of sugar industry principals, customers and other stakeholders by providing quality products and services in an efficient, cost effective and sustainable manner.
Quality Policy Statement
The Swaziland Sugar Association (SSA) is committed to the implementation and continual improvement of the Quality Management System as a useful instrument for enhancing operational efficiency for the benefit of its customers and other stakeholders.
SSA's fundamental quality policy is to meet consistently the requirements and expectations of its customers as well as other stakeholders.
The adopted Quality Management System comprises documented policies, flowcharted processes, elaborated work instructions and associated quality records. It meets the requirements of the International Management Standard ISO 9001:2008.
Quality Objectives
To maximize returns to sugar industry principals in a sustainable fashion. To consistently meet the requirements and expectations of customers and other pertinent stakeholders, taking into account market trends and international standards. To provide competitive employment opportunities under fair labour practices and to develop human resources directly in line with SSA interests. To nurture mutually beneficial relationships with brokers, suppliers and service providers. To continue being a reliable supplier of high quality products and services. To achieve continuous improvement and innovation in business performance under sound management practices. To provide a relevant and meaningful social responsibility programme.
ISO Certification In July 2001, SSA was audited by the British Standards Institute and recommended for certification under the ISO 9001:2000, a quality management system designed to place operations at a systematic, consistent level. The certification was received in September 2001 and in 2009 through an external audit the SSA was re-certified and now its operations are based on ISO 9001:2008 standard. |
